LESSON PLAN FRAMEWORK

We structured the lesson using the 5E Model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate,
Evaluate) plus an Extend phase:

Engage:

Coin and dice scenarios spark curiosity.

Explore:

Students solve initial problems in groups.

Explain:

Teacher discusses how to express probability.

Elaborate:

Teams handle various probability questions.

Evaluate:

Teams review and correct their earlier responses.

Extend:

Students work individually on complex problems.

Pedagogical Basis:

Our structure is informed by constructivist theory (learning by doing)
and supports visual, aural, reading/writing, and kinesthetic learners.
Assessments are formative (group review) and summative (individual problem solving).
